With the scratches its actually a pretty easy pick 4.  We just have to hope for some prices in 2 of the 4 races.

I rarely play a pick 5 at harness tracks but I will give it a go today at Freehold.

Whenever you have a Bruce Springsteen song name as the Horse's name in a race at Freehold its automatically a bet.  Actually, the irony here is that its my best bet of the day at Freehold. (Bruce's childhood hometown)


The 50cent pick 5 starts in Race 5.
Here's how I am thinking of playing it.

Race 5 - #4 - The Price You Pay (Best Bet of the Day here)
Race 6 - #4,1
Race 7 - #2,1
Race 8 - #4,2
Race 9 - #4,3,8,2
Ticket Total $16.
If you want to add horses and make the ticket a bit more expensive,
You could add the 6 in Race 6 and/or the 4 in Race 7
But to keep it cheap, the above might do the job.
If not then The Price You Pay will be a great bet by itself.

What this blog is about....

Greetings.

Ive been handicapping races for almost 10 years and would like to share my selections and other advice on some horse racing systems, software and other useful tools to help your handicapping.

Hopefully I will pick some winners.  I do handicap Thoroughbred, Harness and Dog Races.

Of course, I am not liable if you use my selections and lose.
I do not post selections unless I am actually betting them myself so I am not one of those guys who likes to post random picks generated from some computer program with no knowledge of races at all.  Also you will see I do not have picks for every race on a particular card.  Good handicappers know what races to play and which ones are bad plays.  If I handicap an entire card its because I have enough confidence in the selections to at least pick 60% winners if I am betting to win, or to at least hit 1 of 2 pick 4's.
